Gov. Amosun Has Not Withdrawn From Senate Race- Adeneye

Date:

Our attention has been drawn to the fake news currently being circulated on social media platforms, claiming that the Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has withdrawn from the senatorial primary of Ogun APC, slated for Sunday, October 7, 2018.

The so-called press release, purportedly signed by the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Barr Taiwo Adeoluwa, is a lie from the pit of hell, as Amosun is very much in the race to clinch the APC ticket to represent the good people of Ogun Central senatorial district in 2019.

The phony press release remains what it is: a fake news item, which the good people of Ogun State and Nigerians should discard.

Gov Amosun will contest the APC senatorial primary scheduled for Sunday, October 7, 2018 by the grace of the almighty God.

Signed
Otunba Dayo Adeneye
Ogun State Commissioner for Information & Strategy
