Breaking: INEC Declares Osun Guber Elections Inconclusive

Date:

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the Osun Governorship election inconclusive and so there is no winner.

Declaring the election results at the INEC Headquarters in Osogbo, the Returning Officer, said that the rule is that if the difference between the top two parties is less than the total accredited voters that were cancelled, the election is inconclusive and a rerun of the cancelled polling stations is done.

He noted that the difference between the two leading parties (APC and PDP) was just 353, less that the total cancelled votes, and therefore, declared the election inconclusive.

While APC scored a total of 254, 345, PDP polled 254, 698

He advised that INEC will set a new date for the rerun.
