Following the furore that broke out over the supposed dumping of Lagos State governor, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode, by his political godfather, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the race to the 2019 governorship election, President Muhammadu Buhari, has invited Tinubu to Aso Rock for a parley, an impeccable source has revealed to The Boss.
Recall that The Boss has exclusively reported that President Buhari may intervene in the crisis in favour of the incumbent governor.
The source hinted further that panic had gripped the length and breadth of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a result of the overtures made to billionaire oil magnate, Mr. Femi Otedola, by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to become its flag bearer. An offer the business tycoon accepted.
The APC has not only become worried but also afraid of losing Lagos State as a result of the crisis.
A group, loyal to Tinubu, called Mandate, had stated that ‘Ambode is gone’ while introducing Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu is the aspirant to take over from Ambode.
