The former Governor of Kano State and senator representing Kano Central senatorial district, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has finally declared his intention to run for the presidency in 2019, with a massive cheering crowd of Kwankwasiyya believers, who appeared in red and white attire.
The Boss had exclusively reported that the former governor who has been having a running battle with his former deputy and now the governor of Kano State, Alhaji Umar Ganduje, as well as the government at the centre, was barred from holding his declaration rally at the Eagle Square after payments and arrangement had been made and concluded. The management cited nearness to the secretariat and political nature of the event as their reason for the booking cancellation.
However, the senator, who recently defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), moved his declaration rally to the roadside (Solomon Lar Way), in the Mabushi area of Abuja.

However, tongues are wagging in condemnation of the last minute cancellation of the booking, alleging that there is a Federal government angle to the whole set up.
