The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has dissolved the executive committee of the party in Kwara State.
The decision to dissolve the committee was reached after a meeting of the National Working Committee held on Monday to ‘examine the unfolding developments within the party in Kwara State’.
In a letter signed by the National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the National Secretary, Hon Mai Mala Bunu, and made available to the Boss, the APC cited “irregularities that characterised the conduct and outcome of the Congresses that produced the leadership of the party at all levels…” as one of the reasons for the dissolution.
Furthermore, it frowned at the way most party leaders were openly calling on the senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki, to decamp to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The NWC consequently dissolved all party organs in the state (ward, local government and state), replacing them with caretaker committees, and mandated Hon. Bashir Bolarinwa to takeover the chairmanship of the party in the state on a caretaker basis with immediate effect.
