Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke representing Osun West has today written to the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to officially express his intention to contest the Osun State Gubernatorial election scheduled for September this year.
In the letter made available to The Boss, Senator Adeleke wrote “In accordance with the directive of the leadership of our great party, I wish to express my intent to vie for the ticket of the party as its candidate in the Osun State Governorship election holding on 22nd September 2018.
“I am a financial member of the party in Sagba Abogunde Ward 2 of Ede North Local Government in the Osun West Senatorial District.
“My decision to express this intent is based on a conviction that I possess all it takes to unite the leaders and members of the party as well as galvanize the general electorate towards ensuring resounding victory for the PDP in the forthcoming polls”
He further stated that as a loyal party man from the strongest political base of the PDP in Osun State, he is willing, able and prepared to offer himself for the great service if given the opportunity to fly the PDP’s flag.
With the exit of former Osun State Deputy Governor, Senator Iyiola Omisore from the PDP weeks back, it is almost certain that the coast is clear for Adeleke to pick the PDP ticket and aim for another big prize in his short adventure into politics.
