Abducted Cleric Found Dead 48 Hours After Unknown Gunmen Whisked Him Away

Another tragedy struck within Suleja community of Niger state as the cleric and founder of the Global Mission to the World Ministry, pastor Philip Babalola, has been found dead.

This is coming barely two days after four people were killed when unknown gunmen invaded the area before whisking the pastor to an unknown destination.

Babalola’s lifeless body was found along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway on Friday evening, November 10 with some parts of his body ripped off.It was gathered that the kidnappers who made a contact with the relatives of the cleric had named a huge ransom for the release of the victim.

However, it was not sure if the ransom was paid, but sources say the victim was killed with information that policemen had been involved. He died in his late 40s.

Meanwhile, two ministers Ezekiel Olu-Aina and Onono David who were rushed to the hospital right after the attack are said to be in stable condition.
The governor of Niger state Abubakar Sani Bello has called for calm while promising he will personally visit the community in the coming days.
Residents of the area have decried government neglect saying the area is not secure and are expecting the governors visit to be of great assistance.
