Naira Marley says he plans to help the defenseless people he met in jail

Naira Marley has announced his plans to help some of the people he met while he was in jail who cannot defend themselves.

The music star made this known via his Instagram page on Monday, June 17, 2019. According to him, these guys have been in jail for years without even getting to the trial stage of their cases. He then went to say that even though he can’t change Nigeria alone, with a collective effort from everyone, it can be done.

“I have to help a lot of ni**gas I met in jail. I met one guy, he has been in jail for 9 years, never been to the court, as in they haven’t even found him guilty. What if he is not even guilty? I met another nigga in jail. Been in jail for over two years because he was in a relationship with one rich woman’s daughter and the woman locked him up for not leaving her daughter,” he wrote.

Days after Naira Marley was released from jail after perfecting his bail conditions, the singer has reached out to yahoo boys. The singer in a video published by Instablog9ja on Sunday, June 16, 2019, demanded some sort of compensations from yahoo boys saying he went to jail because of them.

He said, “Those of you that are yahoo boys are owing me money because Am I a Yahoo Boy? No. I have gone to jail because of them”.

Recall that on Thursday, May 30, 2019, Naira Marley appeared before Justice Nicolas Oweiboof Federal High Court, Lagos for his bail hearing and the court granted him the bail on the conditions of; a N2,000,000 bond, and two sureties, one with a landed property and the other, a Civil Servant, not lower than a level 10 officer.

‘We Finally Lost Him’, AGN Confirms Junior Pope’s Death

The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, has confirmed the death of Nollywood actor, John Paul Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope.

The actor and three of his colleagues were coming back from a movie location in a boat when they fell into Anam River in Anambra on Wednesday.

Rollas took to his instagram page on Thursday to disclose the sad development as he wrote, “It is so so sad that our joy was shortlived.

“My first post was out of excitement when we noticed his tingling fingers. Two notable hospitals tried their best to revive him but to no avail.

“God knows the best. We finally lost him,” he said.

Junior Pope joined the Nollywood industry in 2006, and started attending movie auditions and acting as a minor character in movies.

He usually played the role of a bodyguard, palace attendant, and servant in movies.

In 2007, he rose to fame after acting in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Secret Adventures”, a movie directed by Tchidi Chikere.

He acted in more than 150 Nollywood movies which include: “Secret Adventures”, “Mad sex”, “Bitter Generation”, “Vengeance of Bullet”, “The Cat”, “The Generals”, “Wrong Initiation” among others.

I’m No Longer Cut Out for Marriage, Having Kids – Iyabo Ojo

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has said that she is no longer cut out for marriage or having kids, stressing that her now is only for enjoyment.

Iyabo Ojo, a divorcee, expressed her intention not to seek marriage with her current partner, music executive Paul Okoye, also known as Paulo, saying their realtionship is for companionship.

Taking to her Instagram page, the actress shared, “Marriage – done and dusted. Had kids – done and dusted. Raised my kids – done and dusted. Next stage: Enjoyment! Enjoyment! Enjoyment!”

She added that people should, however, do what makes them happy and works for them.

“This is me. Do you ….. do what makes you happy and what works for you,” she wrote.

Iyabo Ojo is a prominent Nigerian actress, filmmaker, and entrepreneur.

She has been active in the Nigerian film industry, often referred to as Nollywood, for many years.

Ojo has appeared in numerous movies and has gained recognition for her talent and versatility as an actress. Apart from her acting career, she has also ventured into film production.

Veteran Nollywood Actor, Amaechi Muonagor Dies at 61

Nollywood legend, Amaechi Muonagor, has reportedly passed on. He was 61.

The actor suffered kidney failure and has been on dialysis.

His demise on Sunday came just few days after a video, where he was soliciting funds for Kidney transplant went viral.

His death comes weeks after another Nollywood actor, Mr Ibu, died.

No official statement has yet been released.
