The much anticipated movie, ‘Ghana Must Go’, which was produced by Award-winning Ghanaian/Nigerian actress, Yvonne Okoro, was premiered at Genesis Deluxe cinemas in Lekki, Lagos state, and it is set to be released nationwide on June 10, 2016. The romantic comedy is the second feature movie from Desamour Companny Limited after the 2012 Box Office Smash ‘Contact’.
It was an evening of colour and pageantry as the premiere was attended by cast and crew of the movie and celebrities including; Don Jazzy, Uti Uwachukwu, Beverly Naya, Majid Michael, Helen Paul, Julius Agwu,, Nkem Uwoh and many others.
The movie was directed by multiple award-winning film maker, Frank Rajah Arase. The stars in the movie include; Yvonne Okoro, Kofi Adjorlolo, Ik Ogbonna, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Helen Paul, Ada Ameh and Nkem Owoh (popularly known as Osuofia).
‘Ghana must go’ has its setting in Accra, Ghana, and revolves around two young lovers who are of Nigerian and Ghanaian origin. Yvonne Okoro plays the role of Ama, a London-based Ghanaian woman, who brings her Nigerian boyfriend, Chuks (Blossom Chukwujekwu) home to meet her parents much to the displeasure of her wealthy father.
