World Cup qualifier: Super Eagles beats Zambia


Nigerian National team this afternoon at the Levy Mwanawas Stadiun in Ndola, Zambia opened their Russia 2018 World Cup Qualifier with a hard-fought 2-1win against the Copper Bullets.of Zambia.

The damage by the Eagles.was done in the first half when Arsenal forward, Alex Iwobi capitalized on a defensive error to slam home a first goal.The second was a mazy passing sequence that ended with Manchester City’s Kelechi Ihenacho beating Zambian goalkeeper, Kennedy Nwene and sliding the ball in the back of the net

As expected, the Zambian team  came out smoking in the second half and deservedly scored through their reliable striker, Collins Mbesuma after an error by Kennedy Omeruo.

The Eagles had other chances to increase the lead but the Zambian keeper stood tall.They also held on to snatch a major  away win in a tight group that also has Algeria and Cameroun.
