The city of Lagos was again shaken to its foundations as another ritual den was uncovered at the Ajala bus stop, Agbado, along the Lagos Abeokuta expressway.
Eyewitness told the Boss that the den, hidden in the canal that stretches to Amadiya bus stop, was discovered this morning when passers-by intervened after they heard the muffled wailing of a woman from the underground, shouting help me!
A closer look revealed a middle aged woman, who identified herself as a road sweeper attached the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), and claimed to have been kidnapped.
The eyewitness narrated: “When the woman was rescued, another man was caught with her, who apparently was left in her charge. The people immediately descended on him, setting him on fire at once. He was rescued, and taken away by a television station van.”
The source explained that much as he was asked, the suspect maintained a sealed lip, refusing to make any form of confession, preferring to die instead of telling anyone anything.
Efforts made to confirm the story with the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni was unsuccessful as he did not pick his call.
