Basking in the euphoria of the 4 – 0 routing of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Uyo on Friday, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will this evening attempt to re-enact the feat that saw them rekindling the hopes of football lovers in the country.
In what seem like a movie, the Super Eagles went on rampage, scoring four times against the African Champions in what football follwers have described as ‘unbelievable’.
The way it stands at the moment, the Super Eagles are as good as having a good leg in Russia for the world fiesta, which would host over 30 countries. A win for the Eagles today will definitely translate into a hard earned qualification for the Russia 2018 World Cup. But that will depend however, on Zambia beating Algeria again, which is basically an uphill task.
However, Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr, has refused to accept that Nigeria are home and dry after the impressive 4-0 win over Cameroon at the Godswill Akpabio stadium.
According to Franco-German tactician, his team will continue to stay very humble, adding that more work still need to be done.
