Maryam Sanda, killer wife of Bilyaminu Bello, son of former Peoples Democratic Party chairman, has been charged to court on a two court charge of murder and causing grievous injury with the intent to kill.
In a charge sheet No CR/15/17, dated November 20, 2017, and made available to TheBoss, Sanda was accused by the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, at the High Court of Justice, Abuja, of masterminding and executing the death of Mr. Bello by stabbing him repeatedly on the chest and neck.
The charge read: “That you Maryam Sanda, female, adult of No 4 Pakali Close, Wuse 2, Abuja, on or about the 19/11/2017 at about 0350 hours at No 4 PakaliClose, Wuse 2,Abuja within the Abuja Judiciary Division, did commit the offence of culpable homicide punishable with death. in that you caused the of one Bilyaminu Bello Halliru, male adult of No 4 Pakali Close, Wuse zone 2, Abuja by stabbing him on the chest with a broken bottle which eventually led to his death, You therefore committed an offence punishable under section 221 of the Penal Code Law.
That you Maryam Sanda female adult of No 4 Pkali Close, Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, on or about the 19/11/2017at about 0350 hours at No 4 Pakali close, wuse, zone 2, Abujawithin the Abuja Judicial Division, did commit the offence of causing grievous hurt. In that you stabbed one Bilyaminu Bello Halliru, male adult of No 4 Pakali Close, Wuse zone 2, Abuja, with a broken bottle on the neck thereby endangering his life, You therefore committed an offence contrary to section 240(g) and punishable under section 247 of the Penal CodeLaw.”
It would be recalled that Maryam Sanda had over the weekend killed her husband, Bilyaminu Bello Halliru, by stabbing him on the chest and neck over a domestic argument.
The deceased, who was a son of a one time chairman of the PDP, has since been buried according to Muslim rites.
