Man City UEFA fairytale ends as Bale send Madrid into final

Real Madrid FC of Spain has booked the second slot in the UEFA Champions League Final after beating England’s last representative, Manchester City, 1-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

From a goalless draw at the first leg of the encounter at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester, a first-half Fernando own goal was all Real Madrid needed to beat City in the semi-final second leg on Wednesday and qualify for the final.

In the final, Madrid will face city rivals Atletico, who won their semi-final on away goals against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

The teams will meet in Milan on May 28 in a repeat of the 2014 final, which Real won 4-1 after extra time.
