The kind-hearted mother in charge of Love of Christ Generation (Cherubim & Seraphim) Church in Clapham, London, Rev Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi, has scored another first in the business of dishing out welfare to all and sundry, especially the needy in the society.
The Reverend Mother, who earned the chieftaincy title of the Iya Adura of Ile-Ife, courtesy of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi in recognition of her resilience in church and people management, has made a stunning donation of N10 million for the medical expenses of four year old boy, Caleb Popoola, who had been diagnosed of brain tumour.
In addition to her spiritual activities, the Reverend Mother is the Founder of Esther Ajayi Foundation, established to meet the needs of the needy.
The N10 million largesse would see the boy receiving the best of treatment even while on the plane as he would be wired to oxygen while the journey lasts before landing at the Fortis Hospital, Gurgaon, India, where the operation will take place.
Rev. Mother Ajayi, who can be likened to the biblical fisher-of-men as she keeps convincing people on why they should serve God with zeal and one mind, also made provision for the travelling arrangement of not just the boy, but also for support doctor, air tickets and accommodation for the child’s family members who would be travelling with him.
Iya Adura is popularly known for her dexterity to serve God while shunning discriminatory tendencies in the name of religion. She puts her all into bringing people into God’s vineyard to serve the Almighty father and get their blessings in the bargain.
