The aim and purpose of falling in love with a special person was fulfilled recently between Kehinde Olukemi Osotimehin and Oladele Olorunjuwon Olorunleke, in a glamorous traditional (engagement) ceremony as both tied the nuptial knot to begin a new life at the Imperial, Lekki Coliseum, Lagos, in grand style.

The event, which witnessed colourful attires from the families of the bride and groom, began with God as an opening prayer was said by Pastor Tunde Adisa.

The guests were entertained by live music band, Top Band, as assorted foods and drinks flowed with ease. This is even as the traditional Master of Ceremony, Titi Adeleke, did a great job to ensure maximum entertainment with subtle jokes.

The bride, Kehinde Osotimehin, who arrived with smiles in her charming and well tailored aso oke, accompanied by a retinue of friends (bride’s maids) in glowing purple gowns, met her handsome prince,  Oladele Olorunleke, who stunned in admirable ‘agbada’ with neck and wrist beads like a titled oba.

Thereafter, all gift items asked for on the engagement list (Eru Iyawo) were packaged and presented to the bride’s family, as the couple joyously wave away their bachelor and spinster’s era with engaging rings on their fingers before cutting the cake.

The elegant ceremony, which was host by two popular; the fourth Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Prof. Babatunde Osotimehin and David Ajibola Olorunleke, drew a good number of personalities as well as management and staff of UNFPA.
