Following the CAF Executive meeting held in Accra on the 23rd of September 2017, CAF has officially announced that Morrocco will host CAF’s first ever Women’s Sympossium in the first quarter of 2018 presumably March.
The Executive Board released a six woman organising committee headed by Sierra Leone’s FA President and CAF Executive member, Madam Isha Johansen.
Other members are Madam Lydia Nsekera, former Burundi FA President and Fifa Council member, Hon. Alhaja Ayo Omidiran (Nigeria), Neskerem Tadese (Ethiopia), Former Olympic hurdler Gold medalist Nawal El Moutaeakel (Morocco) and Madagascar born coach and instructor Patricia Nejearison.
It has been predicted that the Symposium will see some of Africa’s most distinguished women in the football and sports industry take centre stage to raise the game of football and gender empowerment through sports in Africa for African women.
