The atmosphere was turbo-charged as 10 shortlisted startup entrepreneurs vied for the star prize of best start up entrepreneur.
In two pitching sessions, anchored by Alessia Balducci, Seedspace Community Manager, Nigeria, the 10 prolific contestants presented their business ideas in a most thrilling performances.
The 10 contestants that made it from among the rest were DropQue, Parcel-it, EDVES, Safi.NG, GETJAMA, Medsaf, Wesabi, Wallet.ng, irecycle, and eworker.
Performance after performance, the the crowd of audience were thrilled just as the panel of judges had a herculean job deciding the eventual winner.
In the end, Medsaf with the Chief Executive, Vivian Nwakah was unanimously declared the winner with eworker and EDVES coming second and third respectively.
Among the juicy prizes that accompany the winner is a trip to Switzerland to represent Nigeria in the global startup competition scheduled to hold in April 2018.
Others include one year worth of softwares and support from Upperlink; two month worth of internet services from coolink; a trip to South Korea to attend ITU telecom world 2017 among many others.
In her remarks, the winner, Mrs. Nwakah, who only relocated to Nigeria about four years ago fro Chicago, said she was pleased to have won, adding that ‘the feat will spur me to greater heights and achievements”.
