After failing to break world record last week, Afrobeat legend, Femi Kuti has finally achieved his goal of the person who has played a single note on a saxophone for the longest time.

Femi had broken Kenny G’s record last week with his 46 minutes 38 seconds but it was later discovered that American Vann Burchfield has gone over 47 minutes. Announcing his new feat, Femi took to his verified Twitter page revealing that he held a single musical note for 51 minutes, 35 seconds.
@femiakuti broke the record today. 51 minutes, 35 seconds.

Unfortunately, Guinness World Records discontinued this particular category where circular breathing is used and will not certify Femi’s achievement.
