Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees Chairman, Chief Tony Anenih has dispelled rumours that he is dead.
Fondly called Mr. Fix Itby admirers, Chief Anenih who spoke exclusively to The Boss said he was shocked by the story of his rumoured death and had been bombarded by calls since yesterday.
In our usual tradition of following the tenets of our profession, the Boss put a call to his son, Tony Anenih Jnr, who debunked the story and then asked us to speak with his dad directly.
When we called, Chief Anenh revealed that he had been in Abuja all the while and only left for London on the British Airways flight to London yesterday Morning and landed at about 4pm when the he started getting a barrage of calls.
He said he had not had any surgery, he does not know the doctor he allegedly saw in London and does not even know the hospital that he was reported to have been admitted.
Furthermore, Chief Anenih said he had been very strong and healthy and had not been hit by any illness.
Recounting his itinerary, Chief Anenih said he woke up as early as six this morning and went for his usual early morning stroll and jog, and when he got back, he had his shower, dressed up and was ready for his meetings.
According to him “God will certainly extemd my life because of this rumour.Once again, tell Nigerians that I am fine, I am hale and hearty.”
Just yesterday, the social media was agog with the news of his death and like a good Christian, Chief Anenih said he has forgiven all those who wish him dead and prayed that God will give him more fruitful years to prove them all wrong.
