Did you know: Buhari cancels massive film village as Muslims complain

Plans by the federal government to build a massive film village in Kano state has been scrapped due to opposition by Muslim clerics, the BBC is reporting.

The government had budgeted N3 billion for the project which had an aim to improve Kannywood, the Hausa language film industry, create job opportunities and promote cultural activities.

An aide to the president has said that Pres. Buhari has listened to the concerns of the people who argue that the film village would promote immorality.
