Acting President Osinbajo has written to the National assembly for additional N135.6 billion
This comes two months after the Senate passed 2017 budget.
Osinbajo submitted a virement proposal of N135.6 billion to the National Assembly.
According to reports, if the submited proposal is approved, the money will cover projects across many MDAs, particularly the ministry of Power/Works/Housing, The Sun reports.
President Buhari’s letter requested that he be allowed N180billion funds to pay capital projects which he highlighted thus: “This request has risen due to a number of reasons, including shortfalls in provisions for personnel costs, inadequate provision ab nitio for some items like the amnesty programme, continuing requirements to sustain the war against insurgency, and depreciation of the naira.
