Breaking: Court removes Jegede, instals Jimoh Ibrahim as Ondo PDP Candidate

As the battle for the successor of Governor Olusegun Mimiko gathers momentum in Ondo State, a court in Abuja has caused a major shocker with a declaration that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should present businessman, Barr Jimoh Ibrahim as its valid candidate.

The Federal High Court in Abuja presided over by Justice Okon Abang affirmed that the Ali Modu-Sheriff faction of the PDP is the correct one and therefore any candidate who did not come through that faction was null and void.

Juatice Abang therefore ruled that Mr Eyitayo Jegede, SAN cannot parade himself as the Ondo PDP candidate, that title belongs to Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim in the opinion of the court. He also urged INEC to replace Jegede with Ibrahim.
