Ambode Unveils Iconic Awolowo Statue in Lagos

The Lagos State government, Tuesday unveiled the gigantic statue of Foremost Premier of Western Nigeria, and arguably one of the most prominent Yoruba sons ever lived, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

The giant statue situated at the Agidingbi, Ikeja area of Lagos was commissioned and unveiled by his Excellency, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, in company of the wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa among other prominent members of the public to honour the statesman, who contributed in no small measure to upliftment of humanity in general, and the Yoruba race in particular.
