56,000, that’s the number of refugees we have in Cameroon


President Muhammadu Buhari has declared publicly on Tuesday evening that over 56,000 Nigerians are refugees in Cameroon as a result of heinous activities of Boko Haram sect in the North Eastern part of the country.

He expressed sorrow over the wicked act perpetrated by the Boko Haram sects against humanity, having killed over 20,000 people.

He assured that his administration was working round the clock to rebuild destroyed facilities in the North Eastern part of the country so that the Nigerian refugees could be brought back home as soon as possible.

“I assure you that as soon as data on IDPs are ready, we will bring you back home safely,” the President said.
