SHOCKER: Naira Marley Was A Wanted Criminal In The UK In 2014

Writer and Singer of “Am I A Yahoo Boy,” Naira Marley has allegedly been a wanted criminal in the UK, contrary to his lawyer’s claim as a first time offender.

Contrary to what the defendant of the singer said in court, Taiwo Oreagba, in the ongoing case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, said he had never committed an offence against the law at any time.

In a Wednesday report by SaharaReporters, it was revealed that the singer was declared wanted by Lewisham Police, United Kingdom when he was 19 in 2014.

The singer is currently in a legal battle with EFCC for allegations ordering on involvement with advance fee fraud and cybercrime.

When the musician appeared in at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos on Monday, 20th May, 2019, Oreagba had pleaded with Hon. Justice I.N Oweibo, the Judge presiding over the case that the singer was a first time offender.

However, a 2014 UK report published by London news website, Newsshopper on June 11th, Naira Marley, alongside four men were declared wanted by Lewisham Police for crimes ranging from robbery to sexual assault on a night bus.

Naira Marley who was 19-years-old at that time, was pictured in a black T-shirt and a swollen left eye in his mugshot and the caption that read:

“Azeez Fashola, 19, is wanted by police in connection with an incident in Surrey Canal Road, New Cross on March 5.”

The singer has been remanded in prison custody until the 30th of May, when hearing for his bail application will hold

‘We Finally Lost Him’, AGN Confirms Junior Pope’s Death

The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, has confirmed the death of Nollywood actor, John Paul Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope.

The actor and three of his colleagues were coming back from a movie location in a boat when they fell into Anam River in Anambra on Wednesday.

Rollas took to his instagram page on Thursday to disclose the sad development as he wrote, “It is so so sad that our joy was shortlived.

“My first post was out of excitement when we noticed his tingling fingers. Two notable hospitals tried their best to revive him but to no avail.

“God knows the best. We finally lost him,” he said.

Junior Pope joined the Nollywood industry in 2006, and started attending movie auditions and acting as a minor character in movies.

He usually played the role of a bodyguard, palace attendant, and servant in movies.

In 2007, he rose to fame after acting in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Secret Adventures”, a movie directed by Tchidi Chikere.

He acted in more than 150 Nollywood movies which include: “Secret Adventures”, “Mad sex”, “Bitter Generation”, “Vengeance of Bullet”, “The Cat”, “The Generals”, “Wrong Initiation” among others.

I’m No Longer Cut Out for Marriage, Having Kids – Iyabo Ojo

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has said that she is no longer cut out for marriage or having kids, stressing that her now is only for enjoyment.

Iyabo Ojo, a divorcee, expressed her intention not to seek marriage with her current partner, music executive Paul Okoye, also known as Paulo, saying their realtionship is for companionship.

Taking to her Instagram page, the actress shared, “Marriage – done and dusted. Had kids – done and dusted. Raised my kids – done and dusted. Next stage: Enjoyment! Enjoyment! Enjoyment!”

She added that people should, however, do what makes them happy and works for them.

“This is me. Do you ….. do what makes you happy and what works for you,” she wrote.

Iyabo Ojo is a prominent Nigerian actress, filmmaker, and entrepreneur.

She has been active in the Nigerian film industry, often referred to as Nollywood, for many years.

Ojo has appeared in numerous movies and has gained recognition for her talent and versatility as an actress. Apart from her acting career, she has also ventured into film production.

Veteran Nollywood Actor, Amaechi Muonagor Dies at 61

Nollywood legend, Amaechi Muonagor, has reportedly passed on. He was 61.

The actor suffered kidney failure and has been on dialysis.

His demise on Sunday came just few days after a video, where he was soliciting funds for Kidney transplant went viral.

His death comes weeks after another Nollywood actor, Mr Ibu, died.

No official statement has yet been released.
