Two words: exquisite and exotic readily come to mind when one thinks of Saturday, the 1st of September 2018 at Ijakadi Hall, Radisson Blue Hotel, Ikeja, G. R A.
The event was the birthday celebration of Tunde Obe of the Tunde and Wummi Obey duo as he clocked 50. It was also the celebration of 30 years of music and 20 years as a couple. It was an evening of sheer delight, unarguable entertainment and of course, a time to relax and felicitate with the celebrant.
Gbenga Adeyinka the First who acted as the compere was on ground to keep the guests roaring and rolling with laughter.
The celebrant, Mr. Tunde Obe was dashing in his white suit sprinkled with a touch of glamour and of course his signature hat.
His wife was no less beautiful as she looked resplendent in a glamorous gown that made her the cynosure of all eyes.
Tunde and his wife had a spectacular entrance as they got the guest dancing to their evergreen popular track, Oti se se before launching into tons of Christian chorus which was no less delightful.
A plethora of artistes were on ground to thrill guests and get them swaying to songs. The like of 9ice, Essence, Kenny Saint-Best, Yinka Davies, Ruggedman amongst others. Music was also supplied by the Dejavu Band and DJ Jimmy Jatt.
Notable dignitaries at the event were Honorable Tunde Braimoh and wife, Honorable Dayo Adeneye, Mr. Caleb Olumese, Chief Tony Okoroji, Tunde Diesel and wife, Ayo Animashaun, Mr. Bisi Olatilo, Mr. Bimbo Ashiru, Mandy, Teju Babyface, Ice water, Kenny Saint Best, Isaac and Neka Moses, Monalisa Chinda and husband, Yeni-Anikulapo Kuti, Rugged man, Teju baby face, K-square, Essenc, Honey po, Kosofe Braimoh, Lord Mayor Akinpelu, Kunle Bakare among others.
