A first rated entrepreneur, Mrs. Shola Olayiwola took the opportunity of her 40th birthday on Saturday, July 7, 2018 to present and launch a first of its kind business magazine tagged Ladies in Business Magazine.

The event took place at the prestigious Radisson Blu Hotel, located at the high Victoria Island, with eminent personalities and thriving business women in attendance, who took turns to provide insight into siting and running a prolific business venture.

Among the panel of speakers were Ms Sapriya Sharma and Mrs. Sumbo Ojokotola. In their individual presentations, they encouraged the womenfolk towards surmounting all odds against them and go for the venture which they have visualized, saying that no one can bring to past another’s dream if not the owner of the dream.

Further, while acknowledging that there are many obstacles in the way of female entrepreneurship such as the excessive male dominance, the dictates of marriage and motherhood, the all-female speakers cautioned that business ventures should be prioritized in consonance with the home front.

The forum also called on all females with enduring business ideas to come forward as those already established are on hand to mentor them to stardom.

Supported by her husband, Mr. Ebenezer Olayiwola, whom she poured veritable encomiums on, and her two delectable daughters, Ayo and Eny, the newest Publisher in town, Mrs Olayiwola, spoke glowingly on the spirit behind the publication of the Ladies in Business Magazine.

“The idea behind the publication of the Ladies in Business Magazine is simple. It is meant to create a common platform for all ladies who are in interested in entrepreneurship, to come together and showcase their mettle as well as learn from one another,” she said.

The lively gathering of mostly elated women reached a crescendo when two spectacular events took place; the cutting of Mrs. Olayiwola’s 40th birthday cake and the public presentation of the Ladies in Business Magazine.

There were world class exhibition of entrepreneurial endeavours which were spearheaded by women of budding talents. These include producers of beauty accessories ranging from jewelleries, make-ups, perfumes, wears, skin toning and smoothening ointments, ornaments of various categories among others.
